Beginning Sunday, September 6th
Our mission is to partner with our parents in sharing God’s Word with this next generation, We have prayerfully put together this revised programming opening plan beginning Sunday Sept. 6th.
Kids Town ( ages birth to K)
Due to the size of our Kids Town classrooms and also the reality that toddlers and preschoolers are not the best at keeping masks on or social distancing, we have decided Kids Town classrooms will remain closed for the time being. Instead, we want to offer a Family Room for you and your young ones, with an environment your child does not have to sit still in their seat or hold their volume to a whisper. In Room 200, Kids Town families and their older siblings are invited to watch the gym service streamed on TV screens, while your children are offered activity pages and simple crafts to keep them entertained. Each family attending will have their own table and chairs that will be appropriately distanced from others. Masks are not required in the family room and it will be up to each family to make sure their children are remaining a safe distance from others. Our hope is that you and your family will be able to engage in worship, communion and hear from God's Word. The Family Room will be available for both services at 9:15 and 11:00. Seating is limited and on a first come first served basis. All families will be checked in upon arriving at Room 200.
Transit (1st - 6th Grades)
Small Group Classes are planned for each grade. For the time being, these classes will only be offered during the 9:00/9:15 service hour. All teachers, volunteers, and children will be required to wear masks in the classrooms. Large group worship and teaching will be paused for the time being and all the elements of Transit will happen in their small groups. Any children planning to attend Transit classes will check in just inside the main entrance. Please note: Upon entering the room, everyone will be asked to sanitize their hands. All volunteers and teachers will be asked to self-check their temperature before arriving at church, or may choose to have their temperature checked by staff once they arrive.
We are asking that parents commit to monitoring their children for any signs and symptoms of COVID-19 or another illness. You and your children must be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before attending services.
Please note that these plans are subject to change as new information becomes available. We will be closely watching government policies as they continue to roll out, as it is our desire to follow state and local guidelines and will do so with any plans put in place. When mask and social distancing guidelines are lifted, we will reassess these policies and procedures.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact us here at the Church.
