Kenya

Located in eastern Africa, Kenya lies along the Indian Ocean. Kenya is categorized as a stable, Christian nation, but a nominal faith finds less than 10% of Christians attending a church. There is a strong Muslim influence along the coast (composing at least 50% of that area’s population) and in Kenya’s second largest city, Mombasa. Villages also are closely held by traditional ethnic belief systems. Tensions are high with Kenya’s neighbor Somalia with recent terror activity. Park Chapel is reaching out to these communities along the coast where Jesus is not well known.
